Quaspar Inc. ("Quaspar") is committed to making our website, web application, and browser extension accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. Healthcare staff work in demanding environments, and our product should work for all of them.
Our Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C). These guidelines cover a wide range of recommendations for making web content more accessible to people with visual, auditory, motor, and cognitive disabilities.
What We Do
- Design with sufficient color contrast, including our high-contrast black-and-white interface aesthetic
- Support full keyboard navigation for core workflows
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA attributes so screen readers can interpret the interface
- Provide text alternatives for meaningful non-text content
- Maintain readable typography and predictable, consistent navigation
- Avoid content that flashes or relies on color alone to convey meaning
- Consider accessibility in design and code review as part of our development process
Ongoing Effort
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, not a one-time milestone. We regularly review the product against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria and prioritize remediation of issues we find. Some areas of the product or third-party content we integrate with may not yet fully conform; we are actively working to improve.
Compatibility
The Quaspar web application is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Edge) and with common assistive technologies, including screen readers and browser zoom up to 200%.
Third-Party Content
Portions of workflows involve third-party systems (for example, EHRs and payer portals) whose accessibility we do not control. We encourage those vendors to meet accessibility standards, but we cannot guarantee their conformance.
